Meet Anne McGuire

Anne’s professional career began as a volunteer EMT for Post 53-Darien Emergency Medical Services at 14 years old. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in nursing. After college, she joined Yale New Haven Hospital, in New Haven, CT as a surgical trauma nurse and then the Branford, CT Visiting Nurses Agency, where she was a case manager and a clinical supervisor. Towards the end of her six years at the agency, Managed Care Insurance companies started to have a major impact on healthcare in New England. This led Anne to become a Utilization Review Nurse and a Certified Case Manager for Tufts Health Plans in Massachusetts.


At Tufts, she worked with physician groups to help them manage their patients’ care prior to and during hospitalizations, at rehabilitation centers or Skilled Nursing facilities, and in the home care setting. In this role, it became clear that support patients throughout their continuum of care resulted in improved quality of care and less stress for patients and their families. It highlighted the complexity of our healthcare system and how important it is for people to have a professional help them to understand their insurance and advocate for the care and the coverage they deserve. 


When Anne moved back to Darien, she worked for a Healthcare Advice and Advocacy business, the Director of Consulting. In this position, she provided a range of services: insurance coverage analysis, enrollments, claims management, dispute resolution, benefit maximization, and care management advice and advocacy. She found these client relationships to be extremely rewarding as her service truly made a difference in peoples’ lives. Anne founded decided to start Healthcare Pathfinder when clients, friends, neighbors, and professional acquaintances started referring clients directly to her.


Anne’s most important experiences have come from managing her own family’s needs. Her experience of advocating for her own father’s care at the end of his life and currently her mother’s has given her a personal perspective of how difficult it is to be a caregiver.

Our team provides support at times when they need to focus on caring for themselves, a family member, or an employee. Our mission is to create peace of mind.

Anne McGuire
BS-RN, Certified Case Manager

Anne McGuire is the founder of Healthcare Pathfinder, LLC and has been helping individuals, families, and employees manage their health and LTC insurance for over 20 years. She is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Case Manager and has Life and Health insurance licenses (but does not sell insurance).


Anne has a broad multi-disciplined background in the healthcare arena including EMS, Intensive Care, HomeCare, Managed Care, and Appeals/Negotiation Advocacy. Currently, she is a member of the Case Management Society of America; Alliance of Professional Healthcare Advocates; American Geriatric Society; current trustee and former board president for At Home In Darien; and a retired trustee of Darien EMS-Post 53. Anne resides in Darien, CT.

Therese Lestik

Therese Lestik, Benefits and Claims Manager, joined Healthcare Pathfinder in 2017, and has worked for over 20 years in the healthcare advocacy field. She is especially devoted to helping clients resolve complex benefit and claims issues related to their health and long-term care coverage. With over 30 years in the healthcare industry, her broad experience includes project and claims management, and customer service.


This experience comes from many years working at a disability firm and a national health plan, where Therese held multiple leadership roles in the areas of employer group, Medicare, individual and disability insurance.


Therese received her BS degree with a major in business and a minor in law from Sacred heart University in Fairfield, CT. She lives in Newtown with her son and daughter, and enjoys travel, reading and spending time with family.

Virginia Jamison

Ginny began working in the healthcare field 10 years ago after completing her externship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in ultrasound. She has worked in a physician’s office in Fairfield, CT and at a home health care agency in Greenwich as a Marketing Liaison. She was a Client Care Manager and the Community Relations Manager for home care agencies both in Stamford and Darien, CT. Before joining Healthcare Pathfinder, she worked in Sales for Sunrise of Stamford Assisted Living Community.


Ginny received her B.A. from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She has volunteered and held several leadership positions for community organizations including The Larchmont Newcomers Club, The Junior League, The Westchester Children’s Museum, At Home in Darien and she is also a member of the Darien and New Canaan Chamber of Commerce. She lives in Darien CT and has raised her three sons in Larchmont, New York and in Darien, CT.

Victoria Bieler

Victoria began her career in the health and life insurance industry over 6 years ago. She started working with American Family Life Assurance Company (AFLAC) servicing business and individual clients in the metropolitan area.  She quickly broadened her expertise and aligned herself with additional health and life insurance companies to further service her clients needs, including being certified in Medicare sales.  Victoria joined Healthcare Pathfinder to bring her knowledge and expertise in the healthcare and Medicare sectors.


Victoria has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry and holds a BS in Finance and Economics. She is currently a member of the Darien and New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and has held several leadership positions and volunteered for multiple local organizations.  She resides in Darien CT where she raised her three children.

Janelle Swing

Janelle Swing is an Operations Expert and Digital Marketing Strategist. She’s also the Founder and CEO of ThisEngage Content Studio.

Sofia Baybay-Peji

Sofia Baybay-Peji is a phenomenal virtual admin assistant who works with integrity and sincerity.
